Loose Lay And Rigid Core

We have two types of luxury vinyl with sound-absorbing backings. The K-Wave backing on Karndean LooseLay helps to reduce noise to lower floors by 16 dB, while the backing on our rigid core flooring helps to reduce noise by up to 25 dB.

QuietChoice Underlayment

Reduce noise transmission between floors in multi-story buildings. Combined with QuietChoice on a 6” concrete slab with drop-ceiling assembly, all Karndean flooring – including gluedown – will meet uniform building code minimums and achieve an IIC rating up to 72.
